With Language I/O Response 2 for Salesforce, agent can now respond to customer's questions in unfamiliar languages.
Translation of Subject & Description
With Service Concole in Lighting Experience, agent opens a case with Subject and Description in a foreign language, e.g., Spanish.
Select Language I/O Tab. Click on an item to be translated, then click translate.
Language I/O component sends the original Spanish text to the Language I/O server for translation. If the language has been configured as supported, the locale will be automatically detected based on the source text and the English translation will be returned.
Both the locale and the translated text will be shown on the UI.
If an agent wants to re-translate the text using a different Machine Translation engine or a human linguist, she can click on Retranslate.
Post a Comment in Foreign Language
Agent can post a public comment in the customer's language.
Using the "Post Comment" widget in Language I/O tab, agent enters a comment in English then clicks on "Translate" button. Similar to the translation of Subject and Description, the posted comment will be translated and displayed.
To sort translation activities, agent can click on "Newest", "Oldest", and "Recently Translated".
Translation of E-Mail Draft
Language I/O Email Draft component helps translate an agent's outgoing email draft from English to a foreign language.
Agent creates a draft email using the Email action of a feed, then clicks "Translate" button in Language I/O's "Email Draft Translation" component.
"Email Draft Translation" component will send the draft email message in English to Language I/O server for translation. The successfully translated Spanish text will update the Email draft, and display in the Email action.
Language I/O Response 2 for Salesforce can do a lot more than what the documentation describes here, e.g., translation of comments in a foreign language posted by a customer, configurable machine translation engines, support for human translations, etc.
