Oracle Answer Browser User Interface (BUI) Installation & Configuration

Notes:

  • This process requires use of the Oracle Service Cloud .NET application, as the Report Editor is currently not available in BUI.
  • An account with permissions must be used to manage Add-ins/Extensions and create public reports. 
Step Action

Open the Oracle BUI NET application and login with an administrative staff account.

Note:

  • It's important that an Administrator is performing these steps.

Open the Add-in Manager via the Configuration menu in the Navigation panel.

Note:

  • Skip to Step 11 if the LanguageIO_BUI_BatchTranslate.zip extension is already installed and the extension is just being (re)-configured for profiles/interfaces.

Click the New button in the banner and select the Agent Browser UI Extension option (shown below).

Select the LanguageIO_BUI_BatchTranslate.zip file from the computer.

5 Set the Name to LanguageIO_BUI_BatchTranslate
6 Set the Extension Type to Analytics

In the Extension Files grid, set the following files as indicated:

Click the Save and Close button in the ribbon, then fully log out of OSC and log back in.

Open the Add-In Manager again and select the LanguageIO_BUI_BatchTranslate extension from the Agent Browser UI Extensions section.

Click the Profile Access button in the banner.

Enable the extension for an applicable profile and interface combination.

For each profile and interface combination, set the AgentSourceLanguageID value to match the ID of the source language of the answers that the user is submitting for translation.

Set the LanguageIOCredentials to the value provided by the Language I/O representative.

Repeat Steps 10 through 12 for each applicable profile and interface combination
Note:

  • The extension must be enabled for the administrator staff account profile in order to be able to add it to reports in the following steps.

Click the Save and Close button in the ribbon, then fully log out of OSC and log back in.

Open the Report Explorer via the Analytics menu in the Navigation panel.

Either create a new report or edit an existing report that is going to be used with the Language I/O Batch Answer Translation Extension.

In the Home tab of the banner, click the Records button to open the Customize Record Commands window (shown below).

Enable the LanguageIO_BUI_BatchTranslate item under the Answer object.

Save and close the report.

Repeat Steps 16 through 19 for all needed reports.
